DELTA MAGNOLIAS w/ Omari Sekou

Tuesday, October 10 at Honey’s in Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY

In collaboration with fellow chef and food writer Omari Sekou, the dinner at Honey’s meadery will map the cuisine of the Mississippi Delta. Drawing inspiration from Omari's upbringing in Jackson, Mississippi and the broader history of Black American, Chinese immigrant, and Creole cuisines in the region, the menu will explore Mississippi dishes and Southern foodways. Featuring our own take on classic red rose sausage and the Delta tamale to Sichuan chow chow and five-spice mud pie, we are moved by the legacy and diversity of the South that raised us.
